The Thanksgiving Song
By Celine, written when she was a teenager, somewhere around 1988 to 1990
Thanksgiving is the time of year
When people fill their guts out to here
Everyone eats everything in sight
And go to bed very sick that night
Turkey sandwiches for months to come
All are pigs, old and young
The turkey's on the table so brown and proud
But since Mom cooked, it's all dried out
chorus:
The Turkey's not a Butterball
So you know it's really gross
The turkey's so funny looking
That it makes you want to choke
It's the same thing every year
So filled with Thanksgiving cheer
But I want to die
'Cause someone forgot the beer
So now everyone's so stuffed
But still haven't had enough
They think they have to eat like sows
So Mom won't have a cow
