Home of the all-too-true Tango the Wonder Kitty and Purple Plaything tales! THE FAQ:
Here are a few things you should know about this site: Q. Who, what, and why is Celine the Rambling Queen? A. A question for the ages, my friend. Or not. But if you really want to learn more about me (if you're curious, bored, or into self torture), please see the About Celine page for all the fascinating details. Q. Is this a blog (web log)? A. Not exactly. It's more of a humor kinda thing. Sort of. Depending on your point of view. See, my idol is humor writer Dave Barry. I want to be like him when I grow up. But mainly it's about cats, scooters, M&M's, and whatever else pops into my head. I'm not trying to be some deep thinker, I don't go for obscure references, etc., which no one else will get, and I won't make you read shout outs to all my friends with strange nicknames. I just like to write about some things which I think are funny, interesting, or strange... and people seem to like reading what I write. Q. Will I encounter foul language here? A. No, I rarely write about chickens. Q. Not funny. A. Yeah, sorry about that. I might use very mild foul language here and there, but that's about it. Q. How often do you post to the site and list? A. Just like the content of the ramblings, my postings are truly random. Maybe once a week, maybe more, maybe less. I have health issues and I work around when I'm feeling well enough to write. Q. Who on earth in Tango the Wonder Kitty? A. Tango is an orange tom cat with an attitude. He's always doing something amusing (translate: breaking things, knocking things over, terrorizing the dogs, etc.), so I write about him often. Wanna see pictures? Here's Tango as a kitten, another more recent photo, and Tango posing with part of my animated Santa collection. Q. And the Purple Plaything? A. It's what I call my Honda EliteS 50 scooter, purple in color. It's my baby. Wanna see that, too? Of course you do. Ain't it pretty? Q. What are these stories you mention in your ramblings? And what is "alt"? A. See the Beyond Uber site for an explanation of "uber"... and "alt" is when the stories I mention have lesbian content contained within. Most such stories do... I generally don't read uber which isn't alt, though there are exceptions. If you're into well written amateur fiction, you might consider giving uber a shot. It's good stuff. Q. Anything else I should know? A. Um... well, here's a few things I'm bound to ramble about: I love M&M toys, have 4 cats, 4 dogs, and a part-time guinea pig (rather, we have a guinea pig part of the year and it's at my nephew's the rest of the year... and, yes, it's always a guinea pig, for those who might be confused), I'm a lesbian (don't worry, it's not contagious, but the subject does come up from time to time in my ramblings), I live in Oregon, USA, I'm in my late 20's, I have a loving and committed relationship with chocolate, and I have a non-stalker-like crush on Renee O'Connor, who played Gabrielle on Xena: Warrior Princess and is an all around gorgeous creature. And other stuff will come up, too. Damned if I know what that stuff will be, though. It's not like I think through what I write before I write it. Or when I'm writing it, for that matter. Or after. Q. Can I post your ramblings elsewhere? Please don't, except for private use. In other words, you can send them to your great aunt Merna in Florida to give her a chuckle, but no public postings or publishing, in print, on web sites, etc., without my permission. These works are copyrighted, after all. Q. Is this the last question? Cause, really, this has turned out to be a pretty short FAQ. A. Sorry to disappoint. There will be more here... eventually. Probably. I think. |
