celine chamberlin is...
... a web designer and consultant, or as my family would attest, I'm a full fledged internet addict (in a good sense... I think). Below is some stuff about me. Warning: may induce drowsiness. Use only as directed.
I'm also interested in contractual and freelancing writing work, in the internet, computing, and humor fields. I do photography for personal enjoyment, though I have sold some of my work in digital and print forms.

education:
I'm about a stone's throw away from an Associate Degree in General Studies at Chemeketa, the place where I used to teach. This might not sound like much, but believe me, if you knew the story (it started a long time ago...), you wouldn't think so. I've also gleaned a pretty good education from life and work experience.
some current obsessions:
Melissa Etheridge music, Xena fan fiction, my four kitties as well as my other pets (see later in page for details), playing Pretty Good Solitaire games, and doing absolutely nothing constructive. I excel at that last one.
Some general favorites:
- Movie: Fried Green Tomatoes. I have watched it somewhere near a million times (give or take a couple, of course). My favorite actress in the movie is Mary Stewart Masterson... but the whole cast is great, the story's great, and I just rather enjoy the whole movie. Another favorite movie is Dirty Dancing. Patrick Swayze sure can... dance. I own this one on DVD, as well.
- Song: The Rose by Bette Midler. The music I like changes more often than Madonna's hair style, but this song is one I can never tire of. I also like LeAnn Rimes' version, but Bette's is the best.
- State: Oregon... which is, incidentally, where I live. I rather like it here.
- (Or) State: Confusion. Yes, I went there.
Oh, and to answer some people's questions -- yes, Celine is my real name (my middle name). No, I'm not trying to emulate a dead author, and I'm not trying to be the singer, Celine you-know-who, though I am a fan of her music. Oh, and I'm not French (though I do have some French blood in me)... and yadda yadda yadda. I'm just me.
I'm just me. For better or worse.
As for other personal things.... well, I'm 30-something, single, kinda short (5' tall), I have no children (but I have enough nieces and nephews to go around), but I do have three dogs (doberman, boxer/pit bull mix, and German/Austrailian shepherd mix), and four cats (Tango, Butler, Pesha, and Murphy). I love photography, music, reading, and sleeping... not necessarily in that order, but you never know. Sometimes I do all three at once. The picture to the right is of me as a baby... in my cuter years.
This site was created in June, 1995... well, because I was bored. Being bored can be a dangerous thing. I can't imagine I'll be ending it anytime soon, so for now, the demented have a home. I will be adding more things as I get the time, so keep coming back. And email me (kcc @ specialweb.com) if you have the chance to let me know you came... I like to know who my page is attracting. I can't promise I'll respond due to my being entirely too busy and getting entirely too much spam, but I do appreciate the email.

- Celine is a Generation X'er, so she doesn't have goals, because she has no desire for them.
- To dispell what's stated in the first goal, because it isn't true.
- To build good web pages that people will enjoy.
- To waste all of Celine's time and your time surfing the internet instead of doing something productive.
- To make the overall web site (all my pages, in other words) bigger and better... because it's there.
